Thinking about going home to Ohio in a couple of days for Christmas has me really craving the kind of fair food I can only get at the yearly pumpkin festival in the town next to mine.
Is it wrong that I evidently associate my hometown with deep-frying?

That photo is just awesome.
Even though I live in Alabama, where we like to fry anything that doesn’t fry us first, I have only seen Deep Fried Oreos at a booth in the Mall of America. And I did not even try one. :hangs head in shame:
Fry it up! FRY IT UP.
Sounds like my hometown.
What’s that up on the pole, the state flag of Wisconsin?
Fantastic Picture!
I hope you will get a lot of deep-fried things very soon.
You made a fried food post. On Hanukkah. Which is a holiday devoted to frying things. And did not mention Hanukkah.
~sigh~
Can take the girl out of Ohio and put ‘er in New York… but…
John is convinced we should market a product called FRIED. It will simply be batter that you can use to coat absolutely anything (including the batter itself) – who wouldn’t enjoy deep-fried FRIED?!
Fried food is never wrong.
And I love this photo. Of course.
:)
Great photo but I’m left wondering how you deep fry cheese. Wouldn’t it just all melt into the frying oil???
