It’s weird to think of yourself as a totally diversified human being with wildly varied tastes and then to realize one day that all of the art you like looks exactly the same:
Camille Rose Garcia
Mark Ryden
Khuan + Ktron
Sami Viljanto
Tim Biskup
I should either be ashamed to be so small-minded or pleased to have an aesthetic.

No way, dude. You have an aesthetic.
I wish I had an aesthetic.
(Also some M&Ms.)
Your wedding gave me a pretty good idea of your aesthetic. I’m interested in what inspires you, though, visually and writingly.
Love that first painting, but the second one totally creeps me out… not sure if it’s the disturbing doll faces or the general presence of meat or the happy doll faced bunny cutting up the meat. So, you see, they aren’t exactly the same after all.
How about the miniature Abe Lincoln? Totally the weirdest part for me. Check out his other stuff if you want to not sleep tonight.
Glad you liked the Camille, though!
Love the last three. I think the first two are different enough from those to make your taste seem at least varied.
I think you definitely have an aesthetic. I can appreciate them as art, but don’t personally like them. I think the styles fit your personality, which is kind of neat to see. Playful, irreverent, slightly disturbed, with a sense of humor and overall dark cheerfulness, if that makes sense. I’m always curious what sort of art other people like. Thanks for letting us peek into that part of your psyche. :)
If you and Kamran shared a huge apartment with tons of wall space, would he let you hang giant prints of all of these?
Also, if we still paid any attention to Feast on Scraps, you could post stuff like this there ALL THE TIME.
I must be weird, I like the second one best of all. Though I am certain if I owned it it’d never hang on the wall. CREEEPY!
Oh wow I love that first one! And the pills in the last one, obviously.
And yes, I see an aesthetic, which is great. Appropriately snotty of you. I agree with the person who said 1 and 2 seem to provide variation, although I actually think 3 is the one that fits least.
