1. You will not regret it. I really miss having boatloads of friends who listen to the same music I do, so this is an excellent way to win me over and then usurp me.

2. Kamran naturally poses like a badass for every photo (even if it’s just goofy badass), so I’ve learned that if I look at the camera and smile like a normal person, our pictures are going to end up all wonky. He did this to me.

Oh, weird, I was somehow under the impression that you didn’t like them, but now that I look back at your comment on the entry from a year ago, I see that’s not the case.

What band isn’t including New Orleans on their tour right after New York, Cleveland, and Chicago? Honestly.

You’d think. But no, he was probably feeling anxious about the fact that a giant flash was about to go off in the midst of an entirely black concert hall.

But maybe if he’d take me OUT more often, I wouldn’t have to document everything we do together.

2. Question #2: So how do you and Kamran take these really awesome pictures? I mean, do you say to each other beforehand, “OK, this time, we’re going for a Village Voice-y kind of feel, mkay? *SNAP* Now we’re going to look goofy. *SNAP* Now we’re gonna channel Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley. *SNAP*” Or are you guys just that simpatico?

Next time you see them, tell them to come to Louisiana. You’d think with all their faux-French lovin’ song titles and outifts, they’d play here all the time. But, in fact, not so much. They played in New Orleans once in the lat four years, and I’m still kicking myself for missing it.
