Oh, and after our meal, Tom took us back to the kitchen, and Padma was there, of course, and then all of the contestants from every season of “Top Chef” showed up and took us out to karaoke.

You ONLY took a picture of the menu and yourself?? Strike 1 Ett… Strike 1. How the hell can I get my food p0rn fixation without you??

Also, way to go Tom C.; charging 110$ for a SEVEN course tasting menu. Alinea is 15 and costs 140$. El Bulli is 22 and costs 250$ . Ballsy and confident, if nothing else I have to respect that.

Other foodie points of interest:

a.) Don’t you just love the marbling of fat on a well cut piece of Wagyu beef.

b.) If you didn’t know already. Wagyu is EXACTLY the same as Kobe beef, only Wagyu is raised in the US or Australia rather than in Japan. Wagyu, for all its fancy culinary infamy, just means “Cow” in Japanese.

c.) What the hell is Agnolotti ?

d.) What did the decor look like?

The non-tasting-menu stuff looked pretty neat, too. Apparently it’s family style, so all of the cute couples around us were sharing dishes and being way less fat than we were.

You would be soooooo perfect for the club, what will all of your bakin’ skills. I want your pies all over the place.

My boy and I were saying that for our next fancy dinner (in like, six months), we’d like to go to craft, so I’m all excited to read your review!

I’m so pleased to be called a foodie. I know it just means that I like to eat, but still.

I really need to find a foodie club here. And we need to hold lots of bake sales in order to support our fatty habits. Only we’ll eat all of the goods before anyone can buy them.
